CAT QUESTION ?????
I BOUGHT AN 87 IROC THAT HAD THE 305 PULLED AND A 350 WITH HEADERS PUT IN IT'S PLACE. WHEN THE GUY PUT IN THE LARGER ENGINE HE PULLED THE EMISSION COMPONENTS OUT ALONG WITH THE CAT....... SURE THE CAR SOUNDS MEAN WITH THE PIPE RUNNING BACK TO A CHEAP DUAL OUT MUFFLER BUT THE EXHAUST FUMES ARE HORRID..... CAN I PUT A HIGH FLOW CAT BACK WHERE IT SHOULD BE WITHOUT HAVING PROBLEMS ? OR WHEN I DO THAT AM I GOING TO HAVE FLOW ISSUES AND OR COMPUTER CODE PROBLEMS ?

Re: CAT QUESTION ?????
you will be fine if you get a high flow cat and put it where it should be you will have no problems, if your not throwing codes for having it removed you wont for putting it back on. High flow cats are designed to be less restrictive, it will flow differently but it shouldnt effect your engine or performance enough to even notice, the sound will be just about the only thing to change and the smell of course.
