Intake Question???????
Ok I have a question as the Title says I have one real major question about the intake now i need to know which would be the best setup for it. I want to know if I should just send out a little 1"-2" pipe straight out of the throttle body attach the MAFs to the pipe and just have a short ram attached to it and take off the black intake box that concentrates all of the air into the intake box and put a mini plastic hood scoop the will push more cold air into the modified intake?.............or should I put a CAI into it. Oh and if it helps I live in Florida where it rains 11 times out of 10 here
The only reason I brought that up is because I do not want to hit a puddle and blow my engine.
IMG00177.jpg Has the black intake box i was thinking of removing and fabricating a small plastic hood scoop with a very fine wire mesh grill fitted over the radiator coolant so it would catch the dirt and leafs stuff like that, or should I keep the black intake box because it is already designed to catch all of the debris and when I take off the intake hose from that it should supply enough could air from the air damper underneath the car?
IMG00178.jpg Is of course the intake hosing and the catch barrels I will take that off and decide if I will fit a flex hose on there and run it towards the driver side (for my CAI) just right around the fuse box where that little hole is able to house a 2" pipe and a small cone can fit right into that hole and if you need more pictures to help me out I will gladly post them. Thanks for the help.

Re: Intake Question???????
Shouldn't this be on the "Intake" forum rather than the "Exhaust" forum???
