Re: Hedman Hedders

I just picked up a set of hedman headers for our cars for 50 bucks. They were exhaust wrapped when I got em but Ive really only heard bad things about exhaust wrap so I cut it off and ended up painting them black with rust stop then a couple coats of VHT Header paint and then cleared it with VHT Header paint clear. Its supposed to last up to 2000degrees. Ill be puttin them on in a week or so. Here is a couple pics of em

Re: Hedman Hedders

the VHT paint on my headers has held up well, so far. I got Hedman shorties, and they work great on my 305 and will work great with a larger engine, too.

No need to go full length headers, bro. They're a pain in the butt, especially when you want to do the rest of the exhaust.

Just do what I did:

Hedman shorties, Hedman 3 inch y pipe, no cat, and 3 inch pipe all the way back, with a 3 inch flowpath powerstick muffler between the y pipe and rear axle, and a single outlet tucked away and slightly aiming at the ground.

Here is where to get your muffler....72 bucks shipped.

I love this exhaust on my car. It sounds mean and throaty and flows very nicely. It's all you need.

Re: Hedman Hedders

Now that i think about it, it would be easier to go with shorties i want to put duals all the way back thats why i was thinking full length but i dont want to bottom out on everything ill just get the y pipe and shorties and go with that.
