Re: long vs short tube

I'd go with dyno don's shorty headers and y pipe. Best system going for great performance, fit and clearance. Longtubes dont leave alot of clearance underneath and no one makes a Y pipe for them except mufflex, which doesnt fit some tranny crossmembers.

The 2055s may work but if you get them, you will want to hog out the bottom collectors. The holes are literally 1.9" in diameter at the bottom ball/socket fit. You can open them up to 2.25 inches or so and still seal ok. MAY even beable to get 2.5" out of them.

If you dont need smog legal stuff, hedman and hooker I do believe sell shorties with 3" collectors but not sure if they also sell a ypipe with them or not.

You really want to get a header with a primary tube size that is large enough to cover the exhaust port. Not sure what heads you have but 1 5/8" tube doesnt cover AFR head ports and probably most 195cc type head ports. That will hurt power alittle. Dyno Don's are 1 3/4" and will work great.

Doesn't do much good to go to 2.5", since the y-pipe ID that connects to the collector is 2.25".
