Re: how would this sound?
it wont sound great, and will be overkill and more of a headace than its worth. If you are paying somebody to make it, it will be a huge waste of money. A good flowing y-pipe and single stock style exhaust will be fine, it can also have 2 chrome tips.
"dual" is 2, "duel" usually involves swords.

Just break down and swap in a 350. You know thats what you really want.

Running duals on third gens isn't the easiest thing to do. I've never heard a 3.1 with duals though, so I can't really tell you how it would sound.

Re: how would this sound?
well it would be like a single pipe coming down from my y pipe then near the end of the car it would split into duals, the reason i want duals is because i plan on getting a 350 when this v6 dies on me so ill just re use the exhaust.

Re: how would this sound?
Just run the y pipe to the cat, then single pipe back to a crossflow muffler, and then have two tips. Guess you really like the look of the dual tips vs single, so that would be the most logical choice.

Yeah, that's what mine had until I put in the headers and ran true duals. Are you going to upgrade the size of your pipes evil?

Re: how would this sound?
A ton of catbacks are offered in 3" pipes, which offers good enough flow for 99% of the cars on this site. Just try to match everything on the way back. You should be able to pull some nice 3.5" tips with 3" exhaust.

not until i upgrade my engine, right now if some of the people on this thread would listen insted of looking down on me because im wanting to put duals on a v6 they would relieze that this engine isnt going to last forever sadly but right now i need a new exhaust and im also looking into the future so i wont have to buy a new one a few years down the line when this engine dies on me.

Re: how would this sound?
Well your asking to do something that is unnecessary. Duals aren't something that you really need. A 3" system should be good enough for a motor pushing up to 400ish hp. You wont see much, if any, of a power increase if you go duals over a normal catback. As long as you go with a 3" y, 3" High Flow Cat, 3" Intermediate Pipe, 3" Muffler...you should be good. I went with the 16829 system from Magnaflow, and it worked out great for me. It has the dual 3.5" tips, and it's all stainless. In no way are we "looking down" on you, its just we're trying to save you time and money.
