Where and What Y pipe to get?

So basically, A local muffler shop did a very bad attempt to make their own Y pipe and now its time for it to go. The reason was due to me picking up a set of Edelbrock TES locally and came without a Y pipe. They are 2 1/4. Any idea or who will sell the Y pipe seperately?

Re: O2 Sensor Q's.

Sensors off any fullsize Chevy or GMC truck/SUV from about 92-95 should work fine. With any heated sensor you'll have to wire it up to ignition and ground for the heating element.

Re: Where and What Y pipe to get?

i had the same problem. im kinda pissed off cuz i paid them 400 dollars to do it and they said itd be "high quality" i went with them cuz they seemed to know what they were talkin about.

i mean it looks good and everything, its just that they connected the both collectors' 2.5" into a single 2.5" pipe, then they bumped it up to a 3" after both headers were dumped into a single 2.5"? does that even make sense? why would they do that, thats retarded?

i mean yay my headers are connected now but now there's no point in having a 3 inch catback, im kinda mad. i just got the car back.

im probably gonna re-fab part of it at some point, after i get the e check so i can take the cat out. i think i might just put the muffler right where the cat is and have a turndown tso the exhaust ends right there. the muffler isnt too big.

Re: Where and What Y pipe to get?

holy **** man. i mean i have the edelbrock and it mightve taken a little fabbing, but i feel ripped the hell off now lol

oh well, whatchya gonna do, already happened.

i thin ki will put a single 3" glasspack where the cat is now, will work out niceley, just have the exhaust end there. (: time and money.

can i weld aluminized steel with a normal mig gun? or do you have to tig it? my guess is i can do it but just wondering.

Sounds like a good deal and thanks for the link. I can't purchase it from you right now since I decided to purchase some suspension upgrades.

I plan to redo my exhaust and fix any stupid things the shop did. I plan to get probably a similar if not that Y-pipe, Replace my OE Cat with a high flow cat and top it with an Slp loudmouth bullet.
