just wanting to invest in transferable headers so if i get a lt1 or 400 block if i can reuse them and also does any one know if you can use a 6000 peak roller cam for a 305 on a lt1 or 400

Yes, headers for one small-block chevy will bolt to almost any other small block chevy. However, headers that work with a small 305 TBI will be too restrictive for a larger 350 LT1 or 400 SBC. Unless you get the bigger good headers now, but those wont be optimized for the 305. Personally, I'd just wait and get everything all at once.

so the hooker 2055 headers would not be good flow for a 350 or anything bigger than a lo3

Yes the Hooker 2055's are the best 1 5/8" headers out there in my opinion. But the collector outlet is small, so if you can open that up it will help.
