Re: well i ordered a hushpower muffler...
anyone? i really wanna hear from people that have it, i can PROBALY either switch my order and then i can either pick 40, 44, or 50. if i like the muffler i pick i'll probaly buy 3in madrel bent pipes to go with it, so i want a good flowing muffler, also the hushpower muffler is like the size of a glasspack so it should be much lighter.

Re: well i ordered a hushpower muffler...
how will it sound if i, after the intermediant pipe i belive, have a long piece of exhuast piping that will just go straight down as much as possible with having the muffler somewhere on that pipe and maybe just do a turn down or for the exhuast to shoot to the side behind the bumper before the end of the bumper. I figure this will provide much much better flow then having the muffler in stock position, go thru a bunch of additional and heavy pipes and not be having a bunch of bends.

Turn it out to the side, not straight down. If you aim it straight down, you'll get a all of the echoing & reverberation inside the car.

Re: well i ordered a hushpower muffler...
true, can someone make a quick pic of how i should do this setup? im not sure how far back i really should make the exhuast go back and how to have this set up here i think are a few of the options ( the up/down lines are piping and left/right lines are muffler )
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll-
lllllllllllllll-llllllllllllllll
lllllllllllllll-
first is having the muffler at the at the end of the piping and having it right before the bumper cover and then an down pipe towards the side
2nd is having the muffler inbetween the exhuast piping and then having the piping go under the bumper cover a bit and then a tip at the end
3rd is having an shorter piece of piping and the muffler at the end.
Whats my best choice? And is my exhuast going be really loud being i belive this is a race muffler? Thanks!

You could put the muffler like where mine is & then turn the pipe to the side, to get a side exit. Or up, over & out the back.
Here is mine......

yah thats where i was thinking of placing the muffler, but i think i might just not include the additional tailpipe to save weight/money. would it be extremely loud with the muffler at the end?

I've never heard a Hushpower, so I dunno. I know mine is quiet at cruise, but opens up under throttle.

Re: well i ordered a hushpower muffler...
your car defintly sounds good, thats is what i really want is a tsp rumbler or magnaflow. but i figure this is free and no one else that i know of has it so why not see what it sounds like. plus there much smaller/lighter then most others, there used in racing so im assuming really good flow, and their suppose to be 190 bucks so if i ever want to sell it i can get a good chunk of money off it.

Re: well i ordered a hushpower muffler...
got the mufflers an few days ago, i just stuck the 3in one on the end and it somewhat stays, atleast for pulling into the garage.
im thinking of maybe placing the muffler on the right rear of the car kinda tucked between the wheel well with an tip out back, should this work?
Since it would be much less piping then an stock style setup how much approximently should it be? I would call an shop but 1. i hate doing it and 2. theres only really 1 place and iv called several times and they probaly think im stalking them lol.

Re: well i ordered a hushpower muffler...
im considering selling the 3in hushpower muffler but im not so positive if i really want to or not. Reason is i'll probaly end up having to get crush bend pipes from the exhuast shop and those flow less and i have no idea how much the pipes for an catback would be.
But if i decide to use the muffler then i'll have an possibly little better flowing setup being it's and single inlet/outlet and as far as i now no one else has an hushpower setup.
plus these are race mufflers and if i was to get an new exhuast it would either be tsp rumbler for 250+ (shipping) or i can get an magnaflow system for 300 from someone i know. Hmm decisions decisions.
