What to use to repair cat A.I.R. tube?

So I've been doing some work on my exhaust and I just bought a magnaflow cat. I had to cut a section out of the air tube that goes from the A.I.R. system to the original cat because it was welded. (By original cat, I mean the one that was in when I bought it, but not necessarily stock). Anyway - What is the best material to use to repair the tube? I need about 6" of tubing. I'm not really sure what kind of metal the tube is so I don't want to just go buy galvanized conduit from home depot because if the metals are dissimilar they will corrode. Does it have to be a metal that can withstand high amounts of heat or does it stay cooler than the exhaust?

Walker 35574 is a kit that I recently purchased to re-connect the factory AIR tube to my new cat. - had to cut the old tube off just past the clamp. Does it work? I don't know yet but it has a lot of pieces that can be used to adapt the original pipe. Interesting that the original factory pipe is chrome. I don't believe there is a lot of heat where this pipe connects to the cat but I could be wrong. I was going to purchase some aluminum tube to make the connection (using anti-seize to prevent corrosion) and may still be forced in that direction if this Walker kit doesn't work.
