just got my first magnaflow exhaust kit put on my 88 camaro and I sold! My car sound better and perform better

 

ok its the 2nd day i had my new exhaust on my car its sounded fine yesterday but 2day is something different when i give it some gas i hear a loud rattling sound or when im at a stand still i still hear the sound what could that be please help

 

It could be loose or making contact on the car. Make sure the bend over your rear axle is completely connected to each other and make sure your mounts to the frame are secure. I had a issue when I got my tranny rebuilt that they didn't fully connect the rear bracket and my exhaust was resting on my rear axle. I don't know why but they totally forgot a bolt out of the two.

 

i sorry i got the whole magnaflow kit they had to make me a pipe to go on my exhaust manifold because the one that came withe the kit would fit the noise sound like its coming from the front passenger side.

 

How old is your Cat converter (if you have one) Mine was making a rattle till some of the filament blew out my tail pipe.

 

i didnt have one on my old exhaust i dont think they put one one the new exhaust ill have to look under it in the morning

 

Just check all of your pipes and make sure nothing is making contact with the car is really all you can do. I'm sure its just hitting something.

 

I'm having the same problem with my Magnaflow rattling. Haven't had a chance to get it up on the lift yet to find the problem.

 

i'm takeing it back to the place that put it on and ill post what they said also just found out when i make a tight right turn my tire is hitting the pipe comeing from the exhaust manifold.
