Thanks guys. Only thing to make it better would be for a model to be laying on the hood lol

you dont have to pay for "what he wants", only what "you want", provided its possible. What are you doing?

and i have had 6 exhausts, or verisions there-of on my car, so i still have you beat.

Re: My 5th exhaust on this car.... No lie

The day I got my Camaro in 1999, I cut the stock muffler off. Since then I've had at least 10 exhaust systems on it. I've spent over 5k in exhaust parts and headers. If only I knew then what I know now. Like I've said before, I don't think it gets better than a 16829 with an E-cutout before the axle.

Re: My 5th exhaust on this car.... No lie

Pics I took a few days ago.

FYI, I had the 16" wheels with G-Force tires on in these pics. The Draglites are back on now.

All work was done by me.

It's the QTP30.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/QTP-QTEC30/

In the first pic I put up, after the electric motor, you can see the quick disconnect, then it is zip-tied to the frame, then it goes through a hole I drilled in the floor.

THANKS for the pics. . looks good . what does it do ? it dumps the exhaust before the muffler . what does that do ? it lessens the back pressure of the exhaust & makes more noise . good luck .

[quote=UNCLE TOM;4890284] & makes more noise quote]

and in some applications more power. such as going to the track and having your track tune and the exhuast may be a part of that.

ive always like the sound of super 40's dumped at the rear. never have had tips. maybe ill try that. my buddy has rectangle ones and super 40's and i havent noticed the difference from his car and mine. ill have to be more observant next time.

Re: My 5th exhaust on this car.... No lie

why did you pay for it? if its not what you asked for, and he even mounted the tips wrong, refuse to pay or demand money back, or the job redone.
you cant fit dual 3" over the axle with stock parts. i "think" you can do 2.5, but it takes work.

what kind of power does the engine make? 2.25 wil support a good amount of power.

again, what exactly did you want? is it even possible?

Dude it would have been worth the drive to bring it over here. My father does manifold to bumper 2.5" duals for $450 on most all V8 vehicles. (flowmaster 'type' mufflers, tips are included if you bring them yourself)

But I can tell you that 3rd gens always cost more....but if you have supporting mods for more exhaust room the shop will have an easier job on the install and come out with a better overall product. The price will come down as well. Not an unsatisfied customer yet.

Re: My 5th exhaust on this car.... No lie

ok you know you got screwed. the person that did my exhaust put on a walker pipe that runsa from the cat to the muffler. it is not 100% mandrel but damn close. it has the wrinkles at the differential bend. then a magnaflow muff (same as 4th gen) and two magnaflow 3" tips for 350. he also removed the cat and put in a 3" pipe there as well. walker still sells that pipe.

how much hp is your engine pushing? i did my exhaust as i am putting in a 400hp ls1 next year. then all i will have to do is cut the walker 3" pipe where the crossover pipe ties in after the 2 into one adapter from magnaflow.

good luck with that. as you payed for an unsatisfactory job. yes you did have a choice.
