Helmholtz Resonators and Vortex-built-in-pipes.. Would they work together?
This is only an idea that I tough might just work perfectly with a build of Atilla's best... look at post #6 here https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...st-builds.html It would include the Helmholtz Resonators strategically positioned trough the catback system.. most likely just two. I haven't decided if to custom-build my own 2.50-3.00in or modify a cheap Flowmaster unit for testing.
About the vortex pipes... maybe fabricate my own special vortex muffler tips. Or place a couple of vortices trough the system.. (behind the muffler)?
Maybe place a resonator before a vortex (or the other way around) for ultimate exhaust scavenging with a properly sized catback.
Let me know what you think please... It might be quite an overkill, or just work fine with a 383 with that much or air coming in.
