Magnaflow 16829 fit an 82?

Magnaflow 16829 fit an 82?
Anybody know if the magnaflow 16829 will correctly fit an 82 z28? I'm running hedman shorties with hedmans y-pipe. Factory 4-speed t-10. spohn crossmember.
Magnaflow lists this part for years 83-92 but I see some places online list it for 82-92. Makes me wonder what the real deal is, what the differences are between the 82 and 83 exhaust is.

Answer: yes the Magnaflow fits an 82 with a factory 4 speed and uses the factory hangers just fine.
