im am just about to purchase hedman longtubes and h pipe exhaust that basically dumps off after 2ft. i have a t5 trans. i should have probably done some research before i agreed to buy the set up but it was too good a deal. and i have no exhaust whatsoever and stock manifolds. the longtubes are 1 5/8 into 3in collectors and 3in h pipe. can i make this fit? i have heard with a little finagling the headers will fit but no clue about h pipe etc. oh and i am stock ride height (84 z28)

 

You can probably get the collector to clear the slave, but that will ruin the alignment of the rest of the system.

 

previous owner had a th400 trans with a big crossmember and said everything fit great..he fabbed it all himself

 

A TH400 doesn't have a clutch slave cylinder.

 

gotcha. that would make sense it haha. well hopefully i can make it work somehow, if not i can always try to sell the h pipe set up. thanks for the info.
