Need help/advice

Ok, so I've been looking into new exhaust headers for the car but I'm not sure wjat is the best bang for my buck, but I'm definitely trying to keep it relatively cheap. My only issue is that even though I don't have to pass emissions I'm pretty sure that stuff like the EGR crap and the metal hoses the come off the top of my stock headers have to be there. If it was up to me I would scrap the EGR and AIR stuff because they are all just in the way. So what do I do?

...damn NC DMV laws.....

If you don't get flamed for asking this question, you're likely to get hooker 2055's for an answer. They solve your AIR pipe problem, and supply you with a VERY nice y-pipe all for around five bills.

You're gonna need to upgrade your cat to a 3" one though to match the 3" y-pipe. No sense in getting the headers if you're just going to bottleneck it back down to 2.25" at the cat.

Anyways, when the time comes for me..these are the headers I'll for sure buy.

Re: Need help/advice

well I currently don't have a cat. I had that cut out and had a pipe put in its place. Since all they do is a visual inspection and there is no CEL for the cat not being there they won't check. plus I'm going to put the heat shield back over the pipe to look like it's there.

The only thing I am worried about is if I get the new headers will I have to adjust them to have the AIR stuff?
