Hello everyone:

Would anyone know if the original GM exhaust pipe (between cat and muffler) of the 85-89 IROC is stainless steel or aluminized? Hopefully, someone out there knows without a doubt.

Also looking for an original part with low mileage in excellent condition if anyone has one they'd like to unload. Must be genuine original GM part.

 

Im thinking it wasnt stainless because they rusted out. unless it was a very low grade stainless.
A few years ago GM had 3 inermediate pipes still but I think they cost 2-300$ it will also depend what year your car is and what cat type you have..
