where to get v6 Y pipie
Where can a person find a simple 2.8 or 3.1 Y pipe? I checked hawks and looks like theres are only for v8 cars.I asked the auto parts stores and they cant get them.A muffler shop gave me a blank look.I guess they want ya to pay them big$ to do it for you. There are still some 3rd gens with v6's worth putting new Y pipes on.

It may be relative to where you live, but there are 2.8 y pipes here in Wisconsin. I just ordered one at an Advanced Auto Parts for a hefty $188, and they said it was the last one available. It also took a couple days to get to the store. Have you exhausted all stores around you?

Walker Exhaust makes an OEM replacement. Part number 40442. It should be available from most auto parts stores or a Walker Exhaust dealer.

The s10 pipe has to stay inside a traditional frame while the f body pipe makes a wide curve towards the rocker. If you have a welder & can fit pipes togther by bending & tweaking maybe you can get it to work.
