Smoking issues need help right away
My 2.8l yesterday would not start since it was out of gas i put gas in it, all it would do was sputter so i started hammering on the gas to get the gas through the lines to the motor, eventually it started but it was idling really terribly and only running on 5cyls then it backfired i popped the hood and seen smoke coming out the exhaust manifold, i turned off the car, tried restarting it later on that night thinking i might of just flooded the motor it was still running on 5cyls with the other cyl firing up every once and a while so i let it idle then all 6cyls started working still running rough i turned the car around let it idle it was performing better i started it today all 6cyls working but it was still smoking out the exhaust manifold very heavy then it start to go very light almost no smoke at all, the smoke is not white, the head gasket is not blown (took out the dipstick and looked for bubbles and a murky color) its just normal exhaust smoke... my big question is, is the car still DRIVABLE in this condition? I want to take it out with my friend today, also this is not the first time it has done this, 6 months ago it had the same smoking issue but it corrected itself, also my EGR Valve is gone maybe that might have something to do with it?
