Fitting Flowmaster Exhaust to Magnaflow Cat
I just bought the Flowmaster 17234 Cat-back system and need to find a catalytic converter that will fit it. The Flowmaster says it is for a 2.5" flanged cat. Will the Magnaflow 93456 Cat Converter fit onto the Flowmaster? It says it is a 2.5" stock flange. I assume it will but need some reassurance. Here's the links to what I'm talking about. Thanks for the help!

My Y-Pipe is 2.5" inches and the Magnaflow cat says the inlet is 2.25", I assume the exhaust shop can just reduce that part??

Re: Fitting Flowmaster Exhaust to Magnaflow Cat
Thats exactly what I'm running. I have that CAT (93456) coming off of a stock Y pipe then that CAT entering the American Thunder Flowmaster CAT back.(17234) Talk to the Summit Tech about your set up and get a final clarification at 1-330-630-0240
If I remember correctly the cat slides in to the Y pipe.Thats why there is a difference in size/diameter. The cat is a direct/exact replacement for the stock one.Other than that the quality and composition and higher flow capabilities of the Magnaflow are what makes it different/better.
