Cant get rid of exhaust rattle

I put a new mac exhaust on my 85 trans am about a month ago sounded great except for worst exhuast rattle ive ever heard. I inspected the exhaust from front to back and it was hitting a heat shield so i took that off drove around a little and i still had a rattle (it wasnt nearly as bad but still really annoying) so i got back under it and noticed the the bolts that go into the frame in the back were pretty lose so i just took both out and no rattle! I found longer bolts that held a lot better and after a couple days of driving around it started rattleing again and one bolt fell out. I have no idea what to do now to get the bolts to stay. Would it be safe to just leave them out?
Thanks
Derek

I don't know how well that would work cause the bolts tighten to a certain point then spin freely so it seems like somethings stripped
