Loudes exhaust for a 84 z28
So I got a stock 1984 z28 carburated camaro. and I was wondering what would be the best performance wise and loudest exhaust system out there. I used to have a flowmaster 80 series on a 87 and that wasn't half bad, but I am also not looking to spend $1000 on a system. So would wan something reasonably prices but also loud, thanks!

Cut off the muffler.
I hope you grow out of it with age.

first, you need headers....3" Intermediate pipe....and maybe an SLP loudmouth muffler.
This is what I had on my car, but was too loud for me. (My local laws)

I strongly encourage you NOT to just go out and build the loudest exhaust you can. Search around youtube and try to see which exhaust system sounds the best to you, tone should be the more important factor, not sheer volume alone IMO

Well, there's no hope for me. I am a classic case of arrested development. I have a flow pro on my IROC, but it's not loud enough for me. Sounds sweet though. If you want more sound, you can weld a y pipe on a glass pack in place of a standard 1 in 2 out muffler. This is if you want duel pipes out the rear. it will be nice and "loud", but will cut down on high frequency noise.

Run a chambered powerstick in place of your Intermediate pipe and dump it after the axle.... That is what I did and it sounds sweeeeet... not very far off from sounding like a GMMG system.

I looked up the GMMG system. Looks like it can be had for $700.00. That's 300 below calgutie's budget. I'm not above getting one (or 2) of these if they sound good. How much ruckus do they make?

The GMMG system uses two of these in its system. I personally only am using one medium length stick and trust me.... the neighbors are pissed...hehe
Re: Loudes exhaust for a 84 z28
why dont you just weld in some cutouts?
my mustang had shortie headers going to cutouts than flowmaster 40s and dumped before the axel sounded sweet and if you get tired of the obnoxious loud on the highway you can close the cutouts
