building my own headers

maybe this is a rookie question but i've been looking at building my own headers and was wondering what this tool would be called cause i can't seem to find it

I just came across this the other day myself, in my online wanderings:

This isn't a tool, it's a mockup of the headers in plumbing pvc piping and bends. Pretty clever idea I thought.

yea thats the same place i found it but ya i just didn't know if you could buy one or make one cause it looks like it's a joints to move around but TY

There isn't 'one' to buy. Its a one-off mock-up assembly of separate plumbing bits from Home Depot or wherever - elbows and pipe pieces cut to length. It doesn't have articulated joints.

I thought some of the custom header manufactures would send you that as a kit in order to mock it up with the engine in the chassis?

Actually I take it back - in the second video from the vendor above, it's stated that they have articulated joints available for hire. Seems you can use these in conjunction with the plumbing stuff if you wish.

There is a bendable foam setup available, have seen it on TV and in HotRod mag, cannot remember the mfr.....
