Direct Fit Magnaflow CAT

I have a direct fit magnaflow cat and have never installed a cat before and would like to know what I need to do to make this process smooth. Will the cat come out and go on easy without taking off the entire Post Cat?

Nevermind it just unbolts and the post cat exaust just moves out the way. The hardest part is unbolting them rusted #^% bolts.

Re: Direct Fit Magnaflow CAT

This is my suggestion to anyone planning on doing this job.... If you know how to weld and have access to a welder get a weld on Cat, if you dont get one anyway and have someone do it.

Re: Direct Fit Magnaflow CAT

After 4 hrs of hard labor in 100*+ weather I managed to get the sucker off. I put the new one on it slid on extreamly nicly, my only concern is that the Air tube on the magnaflow was not as long as the OEM one, so only about 1/2" of the body air tube fit over the cat one.. I clamped it down fairly tightly but I didnt wanna tighten it so much that I cushed them... If I end up having a leak there will I fail smog?
