hooker 2055 and lt1 question

hooker 2055 and lt1 question

hi awhile ago i swapped in a 350 from a 91 trans am into my 85 iroc and i put hooker 2055 headers and the flowmaster american thunder cat back system on as well. my question is sometime this fall im lookin to do a lt1/t56 swap and im wondering will my current exhaust setup work with an LT1?

Yes it will, as long at the primaries are 1 5/8 or bigger. Other people will say you must have D port headers, but I proved with pictures that the 1 5/8" actually cover the port quite well.

sweet but will there end up being leaks or anything since there not a perfect match?

Not if you use a quality gasket. Don't forget once you tighten the gaskets down, take them out and trim the up so the gasket hole matches the exhaust port and header tube. I'm not sure if it helps any, but it it all matches, I'm sure it can't hurt.
