Exhaust resting on frame. Is that bad?
I had my 84 camaro with the 305 get a new exhaust in it. After I got it back home I noticed the one of the pipes is up againstthe frame rail. There's no funny vibration noises or anything like that. But can that cause damage? Is it worth taking it back to the shop to have it fixed

Ok I'm going down to To get thepic in a few minutes. Basically i have shorty headers, the down pipe off the header is bent so it matches the frame contour. But the have it mounted so it's snug up on the frame itself

take it back and tell them they are fixing it for free.. i fabricated the exhaust on my car on my back with the car 18" off the ground on jackstands and it doesn't get any closer than about 1/2" away from anything..

They shouldn't rub.
Mine used to rub because the motor mount was sagging. My mechanic (Dyno Don) put a small spacer under the mount. He told as me long as the mount was separated it wasn't worth getting new ones it's been fine a few years now. Maybe your mounts has the same problem.
