New Exhaust install, then engine stalls

Hello everyone. My first time using thirdgen.org

I have a '89 Iroc 305 LB9. replaced the old 2 and 1/2 inch pipe and the Cat with a new Catco Direct fit Cat and a Flowmaster 3 inch American Thunder cat back.

Car was running GREAT before the install. Now, after the install, you drive it for a bit, turn it off and let it sit for a some time, the car will start, then and you give it a little gas the car stalls out. After doing this a few times it will eventually start to idle rough and stall out at idle.

Let it sit and cool for a couple hours and right back to running again.

Not exactly sure how long while running until there is this issue, but my father and I took it for a nice 20 minute drive, then BS'd at his place for a couple hours, drove ten minutes home without a problem, ran down the street 40 minutes after getting home and she started to run like crap.

Any ideas?

Thanks

This sorta happened to me on my 87' 350.

Check your timing and did you put heatshields up around the gastank?

I will check the timing. The original heat shield is still in place. Never took it off
