Headers - Eliminated Mount Points as a Result ???

Hey everyone,

I'm working with a 1991 305tpi.

I'm getting Dyno Don's headers. I was taking off the exhaust manifold and realized I'm about to face a couple obstacles.

If I use the bolts he recommends, I won't be able to use a couple mounting spots. The factory uses the longer studs where you can bolt down the manifold and use another nut one top of that to mount the dipstick support and what I believe to be an anchor point for a power steering brace? I removed the engine last year, so I forget, but I'll figure it out when I go to put it together.

Regardless, I'm gonna have to fabricate something. If you've experienced this let me know!

P.S.- I've done a search and I come up with a mount that looks different than mine in each example. That or I just missed it.

What I'm concerned about is a black rod type thing that mounts at the arrow in my picture.

That black rod mounts to the alternator, and the second pic bolt mounts to an a/c bracket.

Thanks for the rapid reply.

How do you all remedy this situation?

I know your dipstick, alternators and a/c isn't flopping around like a fish under your hood!

I will supply the spacers to reuse the stock bolts in those places.

Listen to Don, I had to make my own spacers with a lathe. They just had to fill in what he manifolds took up pretty much.

I never received any spacers. But it wasn't a huge deal. I just made my own at my shop and reused the stock bolts for those supports.
