I want to do true duel exhaust with headers

I wanted hedman headers with straight pipes, do they make those for are cars? No Y,X or H pipes. I can get anything cheaper brand new because of my dads garage and my brother knows all about these cars but i just wanted to know what other people have done.

Do a search for dual exhaust. It has been done. Easiest way with ground clearance is shorty headers and running pipes down stock location. H or x pipe is recommended for balance and sound.

Long tubes will require going around trans xmember and subframe and it gets low in there. Ground clearance reduced

Peanut cammed 305 LG4 and straight pipes... Really slow, obnoxiously loud, and with terrible ground clearance. You sure that's what you want?

Just because i can get a 350 doesnt make a 305 slow. Even a stock 305 is faster then the average car, a 305 isn't as slow as everybody exaggerates. I want it to be obnoxiously loud and with a new cam,lifters,750 Holley double pumper, edelbrock intake and duel cold air intake. Also probably some new gears in the rearend. it should be pretty good for cursing around town.

You're just perpetuating the stereotype of thirdgens here... Obnoxiously loud cars are not as cool as you think. If they're horrendously fast, yes. If they're minutely faster than modern day grocery-getters? Not so much. I cammed my HSR'd 305 and yes it made an impressive amount a horsepower for what it was, but it was not a lot. The only reason I did it, is because I got all the parts second hand for CHEAP.

All that aside, yes it's been done a number of times. As Orr89RocZ said, shorties and down the passenger side will be the easiest and get you the most ground clearance. The pinch over the axle is usually the most trying section.
