my car is a 92 firebird with a tbi 305/auto trans. i have a set of stock exhaust manifolds/"headers" from a 1990 vette. right now my exhaust is stock except for a flowmaster in the back. just wondering if i can put these on my firebird?? and if theres any benefits to putting these on there?? now i know i could just buy some aftermarket headers but im workin on a budget and im havin a hard time finding the right ones with smog tubes locally for a decent price and i already have these so..... any advice is much appreciated guys!!

 

There's no real benefit, the vette shorties are pretty restrictive too.

 

yeah thats what they are is vette shorties, well ok thanks for that advice. now lets say i did pick up some aftermarket shorties, is there gonna be enough room to get those in there without jackin the motor up??

 

Get some 3rd gen shorties, they will go right in. Stay away from Edelbrock TES, they are crap. There was a thread about some stainless chinese shorties this week, they looked pretty good.

 

in the classifieds on this site?? thanks for the help. theres a guy sellin edelbrock tes on craigslist for $200 good thing i didnt pick those up if you say theyre crap lol

 

No they were discussed in a recent thread. I replied to it. It's about them looking like edelbrock tes headers, which they actually do not.
