AIR problems

This is the short version of a long story.

Engine build/swap is coming up in a few months, but unfortunatley wont be finished in time for racing seaon. Last spring my cat. convertor rusted out so i cut it off and straight piped it and cut the AIR tube off at the nearest strap so it wouldnt rattle against the exhaust pipe. She's been sittin since june so i got her running and ready for inspection. She passed inspection but wont pass emmisions (visual) because when i put the new cat on last week i couldnt reconnect the AIR tube to it because i cut it too short. Does anyone know an easy temperary fix to this? The exhaust is being hacked off in a couple months anyways... Maybe some steel braided flex pipe?

BTW, Its a 91 camaro. 305 tbi
