Bullet Mufflers or Cherry Bombs?

FINALLY got my car back (tranny probs and the mechanic had to order a whole new one blah blah blah) but in the process he was also nice enough to throw on some mid/long headers (not sure which) and I obviously need to run mufflers, which I really don't want to do. I'm gonna run the exhaust to near my rear axle, so cab noise won't be too big of an issue, and I live in a rural area so "noise pollution" isn't a huge deal either. I'm a fan of loud and aggressive sound in cars, so I was wondering which sounds better- bullets or cherry bombs, and what would y'all recommend.

I never had a cherry bomb last very long. The fiberglass inards lost all of their sound deadening ability within a month or two. I bought them when auto zone had a lifetime warranty on them and I became tired of swapping them out. I switched to a summit brand muffler of the same type that lasted much longer. Bullets offer very little sound absorption.

I run the thrush "glasspak" on my truck and has held up in the rain, and snow/salt for I think 3 years now. It also only cost me about $40 from NAPA. It has a nice deep tone and is loud enough when I stomp on her or pulling something. It also doesn't have that annoying rasp when you get into her.
