Exhaust Help: Cat delete and leak

Hello, so I have an 89 Firebird with the 5.0 305 Throttle Body, and where I live I don't have emissions. I recently bought a magnaflow exhaust catback and just ended up cutting off the cat because it leaked anyway. I was wondering what the metal tube running into the cat is and how can I get rid of that? Also, I think either the Y pipe or manifold is leaking on the passenger side. What is the best way to check that out or replace it? Pretty cramped in there.

passenger side cylinder head, that tube is clamped to the back of the head. It's the tube running from your A.I.R. pump to your cat to heat it up quicker, but since you don't have emissions you can rip it out.

Re: Exhaust Help: Cat delete and leak

Okay, thanks a lot. I'm probably going to rip out the AC because it just doesn't work anyway... and the smog pump, which is right below and to the right of the AC compressor correct? I can just take both of those out completely and that's that? Just making sure I don't mess something up. From reading I'm going to need an AC delete pulley and I don't need the smog pump pulley. I can either reroute or take the internals out and just use the shell.

I bought an idler pulley off a saturn vue and replaced mine with that, as well as got a shorter belt. My smog and A/c are removed. The smog pump will seize and destroy your belt if you leave it on and not hooked up to anything.
