Hello, im looking to buy a flowmaster y-pipe for my car, no:16450. The rest is ordinary steel..How do I avoid galvanic corrosion, since the pipe is stainless?
regards,
Hasse

Re: Galvanic corrosion
you can get the pipe jet hot coated on the inside and outside..or do what i did...use ultra high heat bbq paint..use many coats on the inside and out..

Re: Galvanic corrosion
Remember, for galvanic corrosion to occur, there needs to be an electrolyte to facilitate the transfer of electrons and complete the electrolytic cell. If you are super worried about it, you could strap on a sacrificial anode. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

The rest of the car will rust out before the pipe does. I wouldn't give it a second thought.
