Exhaust Rattle Issues Convertor?
My car has been pooping a bit when I rev but has also developed a fairly bad rattle now it is spewing small silver flakes out the tail pipes? From the sound of it the covert or has bit the dust. Is it possible to just replace this piece? Would a new cat back be better I just have two resonated Monza tips on the back of my car at the moment with no muffler.
Thanks

sounds like a 'vertor. take a rubber mallet and give the cat a few taps to see if you can hear it rattling. i cant think of anything else that would cause metal to come out of the exhaust

I'm on my fifth converter. Tried Catco and now Marmont. I finally unhooked the airpipe to the middle of the converter and hope it helps. I'm thinking the air feed overheats the second cat. bed, softens the adhesive, and loosens it up. Real nasty rattle with that. Next step is to put a pipe through it.

I converted my single Catco to dual Magnaflow converters a couple of years ago with no problems since.
