Need help for headers / heads

Hi all. I am working on getting my motor together to throw in next year and am getting all the parts. I am pretty determined NOT to do the vortec heads, but instead spend my time and money on brand new summit aluminum heads (part# SUM-162108). My question is if these will work with my hooker headers. According to Summt, these heads have angled spark plugs but my cast iron heads did not. would i be able to use my hooker headers on the summit heads, or do i need new ones? thanks!

I don't know about Hookers headers but I went with angled plug AFR's and they work well with my Edelbrock headers.

I know its not the right place to ask about it on this board, but with the angled plugs, do you have any issues with changing the plugs? i've heard a few people say with angled plugs in this car it can be a PITA

The only issue if you have one will likely be the #1 cylinder. I use a shortened spark plug socket made by Trick Flow for that one (see link). I can do my plugs in about 20-30 minutes. Hardest part is getting under the car for cylinders 6 and 8.

I personally, after doing my own engine swap, wouldn't go with any heads other than World, AFR or Trick Flow.

Angled plug head will work just fine with your hooker headers. Get the Acell shorty plugs (They're 1/4" shorter) and I only have an issue getting to the number 6 and 8 plugs on the passenger side because there just isn't much room to maneuver in there and I've got big mits for hands.
