exhaust help. any input welcome

Have an 84 berlinetta. Had a muffler where the cat was and single exhaust or the back. Want a MagnaFlow muffler really bad but can't afford the cat back and the muffler is only 119 but feeling like it would cost way to much to have an exhaust shop run me dual 3in from the stock manifold. Am I wrong? Any cheap way I could do it myself? Thanks for any input on advance.

Learn to save EVERYTHING with modding cars is expensive.

Then it is going to be had to DIY. True duals are already hard enough with a welder.

Your best bet is to save money and buy the system you want.

Do you think it would be cheaper to just buy the muffler and have a shop do it?

Cheaper than what? Your best bet is to call around and ask for prices. There are some really cheap systems out there, take your pick and go for it. Also feel free to use the search function this has been covered a few times this month.

I will certainly take your advice. Hope to get something done soon. Flowmaster is pretty cheap at like 200. Thanks for your input. Was helpful

honestly man just buy the muffler you like (I like the classic chambered powerstick muffler) and put in where the current one is then have an exhaust shop fabricate a y-pipe and run duals out the back. This will be cheaper than any system if you find a good cheap shop.
