help!!!in exhaust shop 2210 can i fit dual 3" to third member?
I have a 383 procharged irocz with hooker 2210s. My originally exhaust plan was run dual 3inch lines from the collectors to under the 700r4 crossmember then connect them together with 3inch y 4"outlet. Then another y connected to that, with a dump valve and the other side going to the factory exhaust.
The installer thinks he can only fit 2.5 inch without it being a serious ground clearance issue on the drivers side coming along next to the transmission and he doesn't think I need a bigger exhaust which I believe I do especially if I raise the boost later.
Is anyone running stock height and 3inch along side the driver side without major clearance issues?
I am aware ill need to be very mindful of potholes, dips and speed bumps. But I wanna get a fellow third gener's input before I tell him to run 3inch.
Thanks ahead of time!!! and input tonight even if quick would be assume since I have to make a call in the mourning

I've got it back they didn't keep it as tight as they could. It is so low It can scrap if I take a hard flat turn . Lb9gta was u lucky enough to have someone in the area that has oval pipe or did you have to order it

I ordered it from Boyce industries.
Then I got a buddy to weld it up for me.
Search my name in the exhaust forum for my pics

I have 2210's with 3" duals and I do not scrape. I'm lowered also. Mine ends jus before the rear end though.

I like the way ur exhaust is ran. That's the way I wanted to run it and the exhaust shop missed up. Hopefully the next shop will do better. Did u run oval in that section?

If you're talking about my exhaust, I modified the trans crossmember.
Plus the 3" oval pipe is 3/4" shorter than a round 3" pipe.

Here's a few clearance pics to get an idea still don't like speed bumps and parking lots with a step transition but seems like its going to be okay on 98%+ of public roads

The last pic I think the guy got a lit excessive on the bend but not to bad. If I ever redo it ill send this section of exhaust in and get it redone in oval
