Thrush pipe with no cat or muffler good idea?

Hey guys so I have a v6 3.0 camaro my cat on the car fell off from rust and I'm thinking bout putting a straight pipe thrush pipe on the car and running it out in front of driver rear tire I was wondering if the straight thrush pipe would sound good on a v6 or if it would sound bad also I won't have cat or muffler?

To put it simply, it will sound like a V6 with a straight pipe. Can you just put a pipe in place of the cat and hook it all back into the stock exhaust?

(and a V6 with a straight pipe does not sound good, IMHO, sounds like it's trying to be bigger than it is)
