Shorty headers and Moroso pan problem

I just got my Dart SHP based stroker in last week. Everything is great but the builder used a 7qt Moroso oil pan with kick outs on both sides. It barely fit into the chassis and there is no room for the cross over pipe from the drivers side. I have a set of Edelbrock TES headers and the dvr header points directly at the kick out. Also, the sump is longer leaving little room between the front of the sump and crossover.

I purchased a set of Hooker 2460's because they seem to have a little less angle on them, at least from the pictures. We'll see, they should be in today.

Has anyone experianced this issue and what did you do to deal with it? I am considering either routing the xover pipe a little lower than before (concerned about ground clearance though) or just routing it back and cross over at or behind the transmission. Any thoughts???

Route it back to where it crosses over behind the transmission. That will be the best for clearance issues

Thanks. I agree. I found a minor issue on the passenger's side where the header flange interferes with my Lakewood bell housing.

The next issue is the Hooker headers. The port shape is too small for my AFR heads. Square port on the heads and oval on the headers. I don't even think they'd seal, much less flow well.

Now I'm looking at re-welding the headers on the outside of the flange so I can port match the head side.

The Edelbrock headers may be my best bet. Have both sets- pros and cons of each.
