This is related to my truck so hoping someone might be able to help on here or point me in the direction of a good chevy truck forum...

Anyway I have a 04 2500hd 6.0l gas with a 4" Dynomax catback with an Ultraflow Muffler. It basically just seems like a big version of a Bullet Muffler and is wayyy too loud for my truck being my daily driver.

4" Inlet and Outlet

After searching a ton of mufflers I found a 3 chamber Flowmaster 50 Series Heavy Duty that seams like it would be the closest to a direct replacement as I can find.

I don't mind it "loud" but am looking to quiet it down a bit. Does anyone on here think this is going to quiet it down a little bit? The guy I spoke to at flowmaster was totally useless even when I asked him volume wise all things being equal how it would compare to an 80 series as I am familiar with those. I would probably compare it volume wise to when I was running Hooker shorty's into a 3"y pipe and 3" catback with an 80 series on my old Camaro... possibly louder. Any opinions/thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I would look into the UltraFlo oval case muffler before I wasted a single dime on a flowcrapper........
Sorry.......just dont care for the flowstopper sound........

The oval case muff is going to be ALOT less annoying at cruise and still talk to ya when you hit the throttle...............
