Build dual Exhaust V6
Build dual Exhaust V6
Hello,
my name is Patrick and i come from Germany (Sorry for the english :-) )
I want to build my own Exhaust System with Headers and Mufflers in stainless steel.
I donīt know which setup will the best.
I like the version endend before the rear axle.
But itīs a good idea?
Thanks a lot
Patrick

Patrick, welcome to TGO. First, with the V6 you don't need a cross-over pipe so that makes things a little easier. You could run a pipe down each side of the car and out the side in front of the rear axle. Remember though that the V6 will never sound as good as an 8 but it could sound better and look cool with the right muffler(s) and pipe tips. Space under the car can be an issue especially if you want to lower it. Keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks for answer.
I know that the sound is not so gold AS a v8, but i linke it :-)
I think i need a crossover pipe if the exhaust with 2 pipes build, because i have only one lambda Probe.
i want to use Simons muffler.
i take pictures when i startet to build.

Re: Build dual Exhaust V6
V8s benefit from a cross over pipe to help with flow but V6s don't have the same issue so don't need one. As for the probe, many dual pipe set ups use a probe on just one side. Assume both sides will be the same. Some systems use two but unless you change the computer you get to use one. You could put one in each side and switch between them to make sure both banks are working the same.
