Got a little question for you guys. Recently when I got a flowmaster added on to my Camaro, the guy told me that the cat converter was going bad and suggested that I just have him cut it off and of course make it louder. So I wanted to know what all would that effect like if it'll throw a check engine code being that its a 92, gas mileage, and stuff like that (emissions won't count for me next year because my car will then be 24 years old according to Texas law).

If you guys suggest to just replace it, however please throw some good ones since it'll have to be done anyway.
