D3321 y pipe?
Would hawks hooker super comp y pipe work with the d3321 headers? I know I would need to add a flange to make it bolt up, but would this be a good option to go without cutting and re-welding to get the y pipe to connect to the headers?
I know the d3321 headers are essentially the same as the hooker 2210s, just really wondering if anyone has had any experience in this area so I can get a solid y pipe in relatively easy..

Re: D3321 y pipe?
I would say that y pipe would work cause the Doug's headers are more or less just the hookers. But don't expect that y pipe to just bolt up and go you'll have to do a little massaging to get it in and make it perfectish. I just installed Doug's headers this weekend and built a y pipe myself using a flowmaster s bend kit.

Which kit was it? I was thinking about doing that as well since that y-pipe is $300+
How much of the kit did you end up using?

Re: D3321 y pipe?
It was the flowmaster S bend kit 2.5" and a flowmaster dual 2.5" in 3" out y pipe. I ended up using 4 of the pieces in the kit they worked really well. Of course my car suffers ground clearance cause its lowered 1.5 inches too but roads around here aren't too bad as long as your careful. Id like to track down a double hump crossmember which would let me tuck the pipes up closer.

I was planning on lowering mine about that much as well, but I have hawks crossmember for the t56, comes with the double hump
Did your headers come with a reducer down to 2.5? I bought these headers used, so I have nothing past the collector which is 3". So I gotta get a flange to bolt up to that, figured I would flange before the catback too so incase it ever needs to be removed I don't have to weld it back up or cut it out.
Do you have any pictures of your setup?

Yeah the headers came with 2.5" reducers but you'll need to have an o2 bung welded in or just order some with the o2 bung. The double hump will make all the difference in the world. I'm thinking of getting their 4L60E conversion double hump crossmember to tuck my pipes up even further. The headers actually tuck up pretty tight, but since I don't have a double hump that's all I could really do. but I don't scrape too much considering how low the pipes hang.

I've been wanting a tubular crossmember! Must clear up a bunch of room down underneath! Yeah those pipes hang crazy low, glad I went with the hawks crossmember. Was in the process of building my own but I didn't like how it was turning out, I just spent the hundred bucks and it wasn't missed

Oh yeah man the tubular K member is awesome!!! tons of clearance I didn't have to remove anything the headers just slipped in from the bottom and they were bolted up in like 25 minutes!!! Once I get the hawks double hump tho its just a matter of grinding the small tacks I've got on them and roll the pipes up and probably just go straight in on passenger side. Easy fix
