Help PLEASE Hedman 68460 with T5

I bought the Hedman 68460 headers knowing they don't fit five speed cars, but i figured with a little modification i could make them work. Has anyone done the thing I am trying to accomplish? It would be super helpful, trying to get this thing back on the road for the first time in about five years! Its a 88' Trans Am originally a 350 TPI auto car but now a 305 T5 car. Thanks!

There have been a few on here that modified the collector to work but the results were not optimal imho.

If I was going to use those headers I would convert to a HTOB (hydraulic throw out bearing).

Then the only other mod would be the trans cross member for additional ground clearance.

Thanks for the reply. That bearing doesn't look like it will work with my clutch hydraulic line. It's a pre-made line from Summit with two stainless AN fittings on either end.

In a nutshell, it's the collector flange that gets in the way, so just cut it off and extend the collector, then add a new way to separate it further down (new flange, slip joint, band clamp...). Honestly, I've pretty much given up on traditional header flanges anyway (I cut off the 3 bolt flanges off my old headman "shorties" and replaced them with v-band flanges), so if I was doing it I'd cut both sides off and extend them the same amount and then probably put 3" v-bands on them.

doe a pic of the necessary modifications exist? lots of people talk about what needs to be done, but no one ever seems to have a camera handy when they do it..
