converting from dual cat to single with a Magnaflow ypipe

Have any of you OEM dual cat guys replaced the factory ypipe for a single cat Magnaflow setup? Was it a direct bolt in when going with a Magnaflow catback setup as well?

I replaced my stock cats with Magnaflow High-Flow cats, kept the factory Y pipe and just had my muffler guy cut out the old ones and weld em in.

If you are lucky enough to have the dual cat option, I'd keep it. Less restrictions the better!

If you do replace the dual cats, I'll buy your old ones!

Well the car has 50K miles on it. Im sure the cats are fine but if I replace the system it will only be for a stainless setup and a slightly better sound. The OEM exhaust on the car shows no signs of any rust at all.
