Subframe connectors what to get? Bolt on or weld on?

Ok so income tax time has come around and I am considering getting subframe connectors installed on my car (89 GTA Trans AM), but I got a few questions first.

One: How are they installed? Do I need to remove anything when installing them?

Two: Should I go bolt on? Is it something I can do in my driveway or is a shop required to get them put on? Because if that's the case I guess it would be more practical to go the weld on route.

Three: What ones should I get? I have been looking on Jegs, Summit and a few other sources for connectors, but what ones are more recommended? Here are some examples...

Jegs and Summit seem to offer the same stuff so there's some. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

My $.02 is weld in. I've done Global West "outer" SFCs on two cars.
UMI is a site sponsor, quality products, and stands behind their product.
BMR and Spohn have slipped in quality lately.

I honestly went with the jegsters sfc. They are bolt in.I bolted them in as they wanted. What I liked about the jegsters were they fit very well and tucked up. They also fit against the rocker pinch weld. I welded mine the entire length of the pinch weld to the sfc, welded it around the control arm area, and also welded to the front floor.

Anything is better than nothing when it comes to SFC. I went with UMI for the outers and am making my own set of inners out of 1x2 as FueledSoul did. It's very surprising how flimsy these cars are. Some may hang down lower than others but they all work well when properly installed. Best way is to weld them at the main weld points and also stitch welding along the long arm of the connector. They also need to be installed when the car is supported underneath the main suspension's mounting points ensuring that the tops of the jacks are level..

Id pull some quick measurements to insure your car is square and straight, Especially if you know if the car has been in a wreck. Last thing you want to do is weld supports to a car with a bent/twisted body. my 2cents.
