ok, one side of my cat is bolted to the intermediate pipe, and the other is like fitted or welded, I cant tell. there is a u bolt and i took it off but it is opn there pretty well. I cant tell if it is welded on or not, I dont see any weld marks, I tried to get it off by hitting it to see if it will get loose but it seemslike it wont, what would u guys do, cause i want to gut my cat.

 

Unbolt it and if it doesn't drop off it is welded. In that case you must remove the entire y-pipe.
