Leaking headers gasket

So i have 305 with LT1 heads. headman headers (dont know exact model) bolted right up but new gasket dont match and leak. Can anyone tell me which gasket to get to fix this problem? Should i use sbc or lt1 ones? Stock type or aftermarket ?

Best regards

Re: Leaking headers gasket

I think the easy way is to pull the header and take it to match up the gaskets.

Re: Leaking headers gasket

I'm not sure if Jeg's has an international number, however I've got the Headman hedders and I'm using a 5 layer aluminum gasket that was about $30 US, I can't think of the name, I just got them and the car running. I put about 300 miles on them and no leaks.

Re: Leaking headers gasket

I use red hi-temp silicone on all my header gaskets with good results. Even had bolts back-out without leaking.
Good luck!
