Tuffy sucks

Tuffy sucks
Tried a Magnaflow exhaust system installed by my local Tuffy in June. (My dual cats started rattling is whi I replaced it) Just got the car out of storage a few weeks ago and noticed the hang is too low. They cannot fix it now after all this time. It looks to me like the actual system is not made correctly, thus the low hang. I hate the fact you can see it from a side view. It's the dual cat style. I bet someone who is really good could "customize" it to hang the way the factory exhaust did. Like a dumbass I didn't ask for my old parts back either. Bad experience, and I'm wondering if I should just try to buy a used section and hope it fits like my original pipes did? Or try to find someone who can modify this one to fit better?

Should be fixable. Try going to a local car show and asking some guys if they had some custom work done locally. I get a lot of guys that find me that way.

The Magnaflow exhaust comes in several pieces, which means there is a lot of opportunity for adjustment.
Take it back and complain, should'nt be too hard to loosen the exhaust pipe bands to make it sit closer to the body.
Where is it sitting too low?

Depending on where you're at there has got to be a local exhaust shop that does custom work. I've got two within a mile of my work that I trust, and three more that I don't.

The Y pipe height is fixed, and if the front of the exhaust is too low possibly your engine is sitting too low.
Is it possibly your engine mounts have failed?
Past the Y pipe you could loosen the clamps, push the exhaust up and then tighten them.
Another possibility is that the catalytic converter bracket is not properly mounted. This is the bracket that supports the cat and mounts to the body. This bracket might be incorrectly fastened. Find a photo or diagram of the factory setup and compare it to your car.

Re: Tuffy sucks
Got it back yesterday, they were able to correct the **** job Tuffy did. Glad to have my car back the way it was supposed to be. Just another example of a Craftsman vs a punk *** hourly employee at a franchise. My fault to take it to a cracker box in the first place. I learned a valuable lesson.
