hey guys I found this connector and was checking on it and I was told when they put the new exhaust on my 350 they bypassed the O2 sensor and is this normal? If this isn’t the O2 sensor then what is this??????
Its right in front of the R12 system and comes out of the passenger wall frame
I couldn’t find the purple wire that you’re talking about for the O2 sensor would you happen to know what it might look like check engine light is on and the brake light and I’m just trying to figure out why I know the paperclip trick but I just can’t seem to read the codes I may have to buy an old code reader

Not to be a twit, but... it's purple. Should be on the driver's side of the motor, on / over / just below / around that valve cover, depending on whatever whoever did whatever with it whenever they messed with it.

BTW, capitalization and punctuation are your friend. Your posts are EXTREMELY hard to read without them. Try making sense out of the sentence "I helped my uncle, Jack, off his horse", typed the way you typed your posts.

His post makes PERFECT sense. ....and while perhaps mildly abrasive, he's offering sound advice. Many of us simply ignore the posts all together. I know where MY o2 wire is, so feel free to write however you'd like.

Lol o2 or O2 that’s why we all have opinions if you choose to ignore someone’s post over punctuation and not offer sound advice to someone trying to learn and understand then keep scrolling no response is needed, If I wanted advice on how to write a “proper” post I would probably be on a different site, if I’m not mistaken this is a website to help others, not post useless nonsense

Looks like hood light connector (as stated) or also looks a lot like the EST bypass wire on my 1989, the one you disconnect to set base timing. But your car would run poorly if it was disconnected, you would have no electronic ignition advance.
O2 wire is definitely on driver side, and runs from the manifold (sensor) toward the front of the engine to the main harness.

I believe your right it must be for the hood light nothing else is disconnected even though the motor was swapped for the 350. I am about to put in a 383 stroker and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something of use, even though hood lights are handy. Still trying to find a diagram to determine that’s what it actually is
